The dream of scholars

For years, scientists have dreamed of encountering the snowman. Some wish to witness this natural wonder with their own eyes, others aim to conduct thorough research, and a few even fantasize about breeding the yeti, although their ultimate goal remains unclear.

In any case, all scholars were prepared to sacrifice, at the very least, their right hand. Of course, it would belong to a laboratory colleague, not their own, by any means.

A reward announced for the yeti

Amidst the excitement in the scientific community, National Geographic magazine announced a reward for capturing the monster that resides amidst the snow-capped slopes. Naturally, Nick sought to profit from the scholars’ yearning to touch the unknown. After all, he had been involved in mountaineering for many years – this guy felt almost at home in the mountains.

The last sighting of the yeti was reported by the residents of a small town nestled in the foothills. Of course, we won’t mention its name; otherwise, a deluge of treasure seekers would flock there, and that would be a nightmare!

The tale of a bitter drunkard

Nick arrived and found the very man who had seen the yeti. However, the witness turned out to be a notorious whiskey enthusiast – a mere glance at him made it clear who he was dealing with.

After conversing with the local imbiber, Nick felt disheartened. He suddenly considered that all this commotion might have spun around the product of a drunken alcoholic’s imagination. However, after interviewing other residents, he felt reassured: it appeared that the yeti had been seen multiple times in these parts – the lord of the snowy mountains appeared every year or two but vanished quickly for reasons known only to himself.

The chase for the snowman

A couple of days later, Nick set off into the mountains. For an experienced mountaineer, it was hardly an expedition; rather, it was a leisurely stroll and an opportunity to breathe the fresh air. Nick delved deeper, distancing himself from civilization, and after a day, he encountered the yeti.

The snowman peeked out from behind a snowdrift, scrutinizing the uninvited guest who had intruded into his realm. Nick raised his rifle and commanded the yeti to come out, but to no avail – the mysterious lord of the mountain peaks fled, unwilling to take any risks. The aspiring wealthy mountaineer had to pursue him, following the tracks left in the snow. It must be said, the yeti proved to be incredibly fast and agile! The path lay through obstacles that an ordinary person could never hope to overcome…

A beneficial exchange

Soon, Nick reached the cave where the fugitive dwelled. He ordered the yeti to emerge from his den. Face to face with the snowman, Nick demanded that he accompany him to the human world, or else risk catching a bullet and departing to the afterlife.

The yeti was reluctant to leave his native lair. Instead, he offered Nick a chest of precious stones worth many times more than the reward promised by National Geographic. In exchange, the yeti requested to be left in peace. Well, Nick agreed. Who would refuse an entire fortune?! The yeti offered so many diamonds for his pelt that they would suffice for several lifetimes!
