The Story Behind
The Grand Canyon is filled with treasures that the Native Americans hid many years ago. Unearth their gold right now!
Red-skinned Villains
The Grand Canyon is simply enormous! Among the piles of stones and cliffs are thousands of hiding places where treasures are stored. Many years ago, the Grand Canyon was part of the territory of the Apache tribe, known for their propensity for robbery. The red-skinned folks never missed an opportunity to rob a pale-faced person who rode or walked by.
Over time, the Native Americans began to raid cities. Occasionally, the expeditions were successful: the robbers returned home with bags of gold. The Apaches hid a portion of their loot, leaving treasures for a rainy day or for their descendants, who would certainly need the money.
The Hard Fate of a Simple Layabout
However, finding the treasures is no simple task. Many have tried, but none have succeeded! The fact that dozens of treasure seekers have met with failure did not deter Harry—a desperate young man dreaming of striking it rich from nothing. Like any self-respecting layabout, he despised work and relied on the favor of fortune, which surely had to help such a remarkable person find the treasure!
Alas, ill fortune was in no hurry to place money before the dreamer. Harry had to venture into the Grand Canyon himself—with a firm resolve to return wealthy; he stepped into the realm of stone that once belonged to the notorious Apache tribe.
The Beasts Know Everything
The Grand Canyon could be searched for years! Naturally, Harry had no intention of spending his entire life doing so. Moreover, he knew who could help him find the Native American treasures—of course, the local inhabitants!
Harry attempted to shout to an eagle soaring high in the sky, but it stubbornly ignored the man waving his arms and calling for a conversation. Finally, the layabout gave up on the bird flying in the clouds and switched his attention to a wolf that had emerged from behind a massive rock.
The gray predator listened to the treasure seeker and promised to take him to a certain location if he helped catch a deer. The wolf was eager for a taste of noble meat!
The Elusive Antlered Creature
The chase after the deer proved to be quite a challenge: the creature with magnificent antlers bounced from one rock to another, seemingly having fun, while the wolf could hardly keep up with the food slipping away right from under his nose, and Harry stumbled repeatedly. Three times, he nearly broke his leg!
While the hunters were leaping across the mountains, a bison appeared on the horizon. As it drew closer, the shaggy giant watched the unfolding scene with interest. Finally, the deer grew tired of tormenting its pursuers—it simply bounded away in an unknown direction, leaving the wolf without a delicious lunch. The toothy hunter scampered off, tail tucked between his legs, leaving Harry empty-handed, even though he earnestly pleaded to be shown where the treasure was buried.
A Malicious and Vicious Beast
Hearing the man, the bison said it could lead him to a cave where the Native Americans stored part of their plundered gold. In return, Harry promised it that he would leave the Grand Canyon forever once he received his share. Moreover, this arrangement suited him perfectly.
The bison led our hero to the very cave, located a thirty-minute walk to the north. Harry stepped into the darkness and was immediately struck in the back by a crushing blow from the bison’s horns! He fell and broke his neck.
With a mocking laugh, the bison spat on the lifeless body and went about its business. What a bad character! If you decide to seek gold in the Grand Canyon, it’s best to steer clear of it…
