Black Wolf Hold and Win Plot

The princess has fallen gravely ill, and only a special potion can save her—one that requires the blood of the Black Wolf.

The Princess is Unwell

Early in the morning, the king summoned the princess to the throne room, but she could not fulfill her father’s request, citing illness. A royal physician was immediately sent to her chambers, yet he struggled to understand what was afflicting the young beauty.

As time passed, the princess’s condition worsened. By evening, she could no longer leave her bed. The following day, she slipped into unconsciousness.

Useless Physicians…

Upon learning of his beloved daughter’s condition, the king ordered the court physician to be punished with ten lashes. After the harsh reprimand for incompetence, the king demanded a solution. Whimpering like a beaten dog, the physician proposed the only logical course of action—seeking out healers across the kingdom, as traditional medicine knew less than nothing about the strange illness afflicting the princess.

Messengers were dispatched across the land. Every day, the best doctors attempted to cure the princess, yet none succeeded. One by one, they failed and were banished from the palace—each receiving the ten lashes due for their ineptitude.

The Best Healer in the Land

The search for a cure continued until the messengers came upon Plymus—a renowned healer said to be blessed by the gods themselves. He was brought to the palace, accompanied by his daughter, a skilled huntress with a mastery of the bow.

Upon his arrival, Plymus bowed before the king and hurried to the princess’s chambers. After examining her, he confirmed his suspicions—the princess was suffering from the Royal Fever, a rare and deadly illness that afflicted only those of royal blood.

Fortunately, Plymus knew of a cure. Unfortunately, the key ingredient was the blood of the Black Wolf. The only place where such a beast could be found was the Enchanted Forest.

The Cursed Night Magic

By day, the Enchanted Forest appeared no different from any ordinary woodland. But at night, ancient magic awakened, summoning strange and often hostile creatures. Anyone trapped within its depths until sunrise faced a perilous ordeal.

Black wolves emerged only after midnight. Any hunter seeking their blood would have to survive until dawn. The best course of action? Find a hiding place and pray for the sun to rise swiftly.

A Deadly Predator

Even alone, a Black Wolf was a formidable opponent. Luckily, these creatures were solitary hunters.

Yet despite this, a lone Black Wolf was still extremely dangerous. Veteran hunters advised aiming for the eye with a single, precise shot—under no circumstances should one allow the beast to get too close. Unless, of course, you happened to be a knight clad in steel armor.

A Brave Huntress Takes the Lead

The king ordered that the blood of the Black Wolf be procured as soon as possible. Yet not a single hunter in the entire palace dared to spend a night in the Enchanted Forest—except for Plymus’s daughter.

The huntress volunteered to help her father, the king, and the princess. Though Plymus protested, his daughter refused to back down. If she returned, she would be handsomely rewarded—and what a reward it would be!
