A True Fishing Enthusiast 

John adored fishing! Every weekend, he would head to the lake to sit with his rod and catch some trophies.

John’s wife, naturally, protested, demanding more of his time, but her devoted husband preferred to be unfaithful to her with fishing. Every Saturday morning, our hero would leave early, waving goodbye to his wife despite her disgruntled grumbling, in which the old shrew excelled like no other.

Where is the Big Fish?! 

John derived immense pleasure from his pastime. However, one thing clouded his joy: he never managed to catch a large fish. In truth, there was nothing strange about this—the lake was inhabited only by tiny fish.

John dreamed of a bigger trophy to boast about. He wanted to take a photo with the legendary catch—it would make a splendid shot for the family album! Something to delight himself and envious friends alike…

Moving Closer to the Fish 

One day, John realized that he would never catch a huge fish if he remained sitting in his native swamp—that is, his beloved lake, situated ten miles from home. He announced to his wife that they were moving to the coast. Where else could one catch truly large fish if not in the ocean? So John decided to change his playing field.

Of course, his wife protested with all her might because the idea of moving just for some fishing seemed utterly mad to her. Yet, ultimately, she had to accept it, for John would move either with her or alone—and she did not relish the prospect of sulking in lonely pride!

The Old Fool… 

In the new place, our hero had to find himself a boat. After all, he could not very well go out to sea in a rubber dinghy; this was no mere lake!

John had to buy an old vessel, which was still quite serviceable for navigating the ocean. Upon seeing the bill, the newly minted captain’s wife flew into a rage…

Dreams Come True 

Soon, the determined angler found a like-minded companion who also owned a vessel, one that looked just like John’s barque. Together, they ventured out to sea and set truly enormous nets.

For the first time, John began catching genuinely huge specimens, among them all manner of fish: tuna, shark, swordfish, and other denizens of the deep. Before long, he had a whole collection of photos with magnificent trophies! Such a haul would provoke envy in any angler living far from the coast.

Jack-of-All-Trades 

John and his new friend tried every kind of fishing except rods and spinning reels, which were utterly useless at sea. Sometimes, they ventured further into the open ocean to use dynamite. Naturally, various environmental protection agencies vehemently opposed such tactics, but who cared about those damn bureaucrats who only knew how to hamper good people?

How to Catch the Golden Fish 

One day, John caught an enormous fish—its belly was literally bursting from all it had swallowed. The hunter of underwater creatures slit open its belly and found treasures: gold coins and precious gems worth millions of dollars! The fish, relieved of its heavy burden, quietly died, and John became a true tycoon.
