If monsters have invaded the village, the Book of Darkness might be to blame! It must have fallen into the wrong hands again…
That’s a Skeleton!
Morning arrived in the village of Pixie. Two dozen peasants set off to gather hay, ensuring their livestock would survive the harsh winter.
By midday, the workers spotted a skeleton stumbling toward them, tripping over every bump in its path. At the sight of the eerie figure, some villagers dropped their scythes, while others froze in place, their mouths agape like statues.
Fight the Bone Walkers!
The skeleton was not alone—four more emerged from the forest, reaching out for the living. It was unlikely they were after food—where would they even put it? Skeletons have no stomachs… in fact, they’re just bones with legs!
Snapping out of their shock, the villagers fought back against the undead, cutting them to pieces with their scythes. But while they were busy here, another wave of skeletal invaders had approached the village from the other side.
Zombie Invasion
The villagers fought back with whatever they had—shovels, pitchforks, rakes, and even wooden fence posts. The skeletons looked menacing, but in reality, they were flimsy opponents. Once the invaders were dealt with, the villagers rushed to the priest, asking him to bless the cemetery with holy water. He obliged, and for a moment, peace returned.
But their calm was short-lived. The next morning, zombies arrived, wandering the streets and growling menacingly at anything alive. They searched relentlessly for brains, though there weren’t many to be found among the village simpletons. Still, they would gladly settle for fresh flesh…
Night of the Bloodsuckers
Fighting off the reanimated dead proved far harder than dealing with skeletons. The real challenge? Striking down family members who had only recently been laid to rest. Though their appearances had decayed, they were still beloved fathers, mothers, brothers, grandmothers, and grandfathers…
That night, vampires descended upon Pixie. Two cloaked figures, desperate for fresh blood, stalked the village. They were so ravenous they growled loud enough to wake even the deafest elders. The villagers managed to catch them and drove stakes through their hearts.
The Dark Cave
With the chaos over, the people of Pixie returned to their homes. The next morning, the village elders held a council. Even the dimmest fool could see that the graveyard wasn’t the true source of the undead—it was something more sinister, lurking elsewhere.
After searching the surroundings, they discovered a large cave hidden behind thick bushes in a ravine. The villagers weren’t exactly master detectives, but it was hard to miss the rotting, fanged faces peering at them through the branches.
The Sinister Book of Darkness
Determined to uncover the truth, the villagers entered the cave and descended into its depths. They soon found themselves in a vast chamber illuminated by glowing magical crystals. At its center stood an altar, towering above them.
A wizard stood before it, reciting an incantation from the Book of Darkness. The villagers had heard of this cursed artifact, but none had ever believed it truly existed.
Time to Fight Evil!
Noticing the intruders, the wizard summoned an army of vampires, zombies, and skeletons, who swarmed the villagers in a frenzied attack. Only one peasant managed to escape the cave alive. He rushed back to the village, breathless, to warn the others of what lay beneath the earth.
The elders sent a letter to a legendary monster huntress named Selina. A skilled Amazon archer, she arrived in Pixie within days. Selina was prepared to descend into the cave and face the dark wizard—but she could use a reliable partner to help in the battle and share the reward.
