Book of Fortune Plot

The Plot of Book of Fortune

The wizard Magicus always keeps the Book of Fortune by his side. Befriend him and read the spells that will help you win mountains of gold!

Fame of the Elemental Wizard

The wizard Magicus was a highly esteemed figure, known by everyone from the uneducated peasant to the king himself. He mastered the elements and achieved remarkable success. Thanks to Magicus’s endeavours, farmers could summon rain and sunshine, reaping the utmost benefits from Mother Earth.

Later, the wizard’s achievements were adopted by the royal army, which occasionally managed to turn the tide of battle by conjuring a magnificent storm. The enemy had never witnessed anything like it; during a storm, lightning would strike both infantry and cavalry, decimating their forces. After the wrath of the celestial elements, the king’s army was able to finish off the wounded and celebrate their victory.

Becoming Immersed in Necromancy

Magicus was bestowed with numerous accolades. The wizard became an honorary member of the royal academy, and limitless opportunities for research lay at his fingertips. However, this very privilege led to his downfall…

Magicus delved into necromancy. No, he did not dream of world domination nor aspired to be the lord of the dead; the wizard simply sought to learn how to resurrect the deceased, allowing individuals to return to the realm of the living after facing death.

The King is Outraged

Experiments in necromancy proved to be, to put it mildly, dubious. Magikus’s subjects did indeed return to the realm of the living, yet they behaved like lunatics. The resurrected dead attempted to devour the living—one such subject accidentally severed the head of a curator from the Royal Academy, sparking a monumental scandal!

Rumors of Magikus’s experiments reached the king. His Majesty became enraged and commanded that the sorcerer be stripped of a significant portion of his regalia. The head of the academy faced universal condemnation and was reduced to an ordinary elemental mage, left with little choice but to conjure spells for the betterment of his homeland.

The Miracle of Cloning

Magikus had developed a taste for his newfound powers. He was not content to spend the rest of his life manipulating the elements, conjuring fire, cold, and water—he yearned for something greater! The sorcerer utilized the results of his research to create duplicates of living beings.

As soon as the wizard completed his first successful experiment, four identical maidens appeared in his household. The cook, the butler, and the gardener were rendered speechless upon witnessing the identical girls, distinguishable from one another only by the varying dresses they wore.

Identical Servants

One day, an old friend paid a visit to Magikus. Upon seeing the house filled with identical individuals, he completely forgot the purpose of his visit.

The wizard was quite pleased with the impression he had made. He recounted his experiments to his friend, hoping to elicit admiration or at least approval; however, his companion did not appreciate Magikus’ efforts at all.

Be off to the Forest, Sorcerer!

Before long, rumours of the experiment reached the king. He ordered the confiscation of the sorcerer’s spell for duplicating people and exiled the disgraced subject to the far north.

Magikus had no choice but to comply; however, he miraculously lost the spell to prevent it from being surrendered to the king. His Majesty found it hard to believe the tale of how a dog had eaten the parchment and waved his hand dismissively, sternly prohibiting the errant sorcerer from engaging in any further experiments with magic.

New Home

Upon arriving in the north, Magikus settled in a village near the woods. Subsequently, he summoned magical beings to construct a castle for him in the heart of the grove.

It was scarcely two weeks before he moved into his new abode, shrouded from human sight by ancient trees. Moreover, the sorcerer managed to duplicate one of the most charming peasant girls, whom he took with him to the castle to aid him in conducting his experiments.

Welcome to the Abode of the Great Mage.

Magicus has long lived in exile. He is very eager to learn about the happenings in the world. If you were to visit and share the latest news with him, he might teach you a couple of spells from the Book of Fortune that could aid in your quest for wealth.
