King of Revelry

Leprechaun Patrick loves to party, especially on his birthday. The birthday boy drinks like there’s no tomorrow! That is, he drinks to the point of seeing blue fairies—the fate that sooner or later befalls every Irishman.

Patrick started with beer. He simply adored the frothy drink, despite the harsh criticism from those dreadful dietitians—our hero wholeheartedly scoffed at their expert opinions! Then lagers, porters, and stouts took a backseat as Patrick moved on to ales.

Strange Scots

Next in line was the noble whiskey. The revelry continued, and the alcohol flowed increasingly freely. Patrick adored Irish whiskey but loathed Scotch! And, in fact, those peculiar fellows roaming about in kilts.

For heaven’s sake, what sane leprechaun would do business with guys who wear what looks like a woman’s skirt, justified by some so-called traditions?! Besides, Patrick truly believed that customs had nothing to do with it and that it was all just plain fetishism.

Whiskey Flows Like a River…

Whiskey was mixed with everything. It began innocently enough with cola, but gradually extended to all sorts of other drinks. In short, Patrick’s appetite could astonish even the most seasoned Irish drunkard.

The entire village partied. Nobody was allowed to remain sober! Patrick’s birthday turned into a genuine bacchanal, and witches even appeared, flying in when the celebration was at its peak. Suffice it to say, one must experience this party to understand the true art of combating sobriety!

Aftermath of the Drinking Spree

By late the next afternoon, Patrick would start to come to his senses—at least enough to ponder the eternal question tormenting drinkers after a wild night: what actually happened yesterday? Along with the others, he would slowly piece together the sequence of events, like assembling a huge jigsaw puzzle that would confuse even the devil himself.

When Patrick was fully recovered, he would go looking for treasures that could be scattered anywhere. As usual, he lost his pipe. The last time, Patrick dropped it in a creek, so he searched especially long. The pipe had swollen a bit, but it was still perfectly usable for smoking.

Death to the Sober!

Patrick also had to find a magical mug that could turn any liquid into beer. During his last birthday, he threw it at a neighbor to kill a sober man who insulted the guest of honor by not having a drop of alcohol.

Finding the mug was much easier than the pipe. Incidentally, no sober man was harmed because Patrick, half-blind, missed.

Who Will Find the Lost Belongings?

The victor of the grand battle against sobriety also had to look for his hat and pot of gold. Patrick absolutely detested all of that! But what can you do—leave your things outside, and after a day, nothing remains…

Yesterday, Patrick celebrated his birthday. All his belongings are scattered across the village. They ought to be collected, but the champion of the epic fight against sobriety is barely alive.
