The Teotiku tribe worshipped a deity called Coba. Now is the time to uncover its mystery and get rich!
We Believe in Coba
Archaeologist Gabe Tunnel had long been fascinated by the Aztec tribe of Teotiku. He was drawn to their vibrant culture, ancient history, and the mountains of gold still hidden in Coba’s temple.
Unlike other Aztecs, the Teotiku did not believe in the traditional divine pantheon. While they may have acknowledged its existence, they deliberately ignored it, according to records that have survived to this day. Instead, they worshipped only Coba—one single god who aided them in all situations.
A Temple Surrounded by Wild Forests
The Teotiku did not have many protectors, but Coba helped them with everything—from safeguarding their crops to assisting them in battles against enemies threatening their land. The god they worshipped resided in a temple resembling Mexican pyramids.
Coba’s sanctuary was located near waterfalls, accessible only by a bridge. On the other side, dense, impassable jungles stretched out—filled with wild beasts, venomous snakes, spirits, and giant spiders. No mortal dared to cross them.
The Enchanted Guardian
By day, the Teotiku warriors guarded the sanctuary, while the priest performed rituals and sacrifices to honor Coba. The god preferred offerings of animal blood, gold, and precious gems. But as evening fell, the people would leave the temple, for when the sun disappeared beyond the horizon, the temple’s guardian would awaken and keep watch until dawn.
As soon as the golden disk of the sun set, a massive serpent emerged near the temple, devouring everything in its path—humans, animals, birds—any warm-blooded creature that dared to come close met its fate in the creature’s endless maw. This guardian was not alive. Its body was composed of golden segments and encrusted with precious stones. It did not slither on the ground but soared through the air like a bird. When the monster awoke from its daytime slumber, all living beings knew to stay far away from Coba’s temple.
A God Who Loves His Followers
The Teotiku tribe regularly made offerings to their deity. Their connection with Coba grew so strong that, on occasion, the god would visit them, appearing in the form of different animals.
Once, a talking monkey appeared before the tribe’s shaman and taught him how to prepare medicine. At first, the spirit speaker thought he was simply inhaling too many fumes from magical herbs that caused visions. But Coba soon revealed the truth about who the monkey really was.
Science Will Dispel the Magic
Gabe Tunnel may be seen as a greedy adventurer, a true scholar, or perhaps both. But one thing is certain—he is determined to find the temple of the god worshipped by the Teotiku. Who knows how much gold is hidden there?
As for the serpent mentioned in the myths—it is unlikely to be truly magical. There is probably a logical explanation for its existence, such as an optical illusion or some other phenomenon. And perhaps, that explanation will lead directly to the temple’s priceless treasures…
