Coin Volcano Plot

Volcanoes are usually filled with lava or, at best, hardened magma. But there are some that hide mountains of gold…

The Kind God Mini

Far away in Polynesia lies the island of Kinovi. Many years ago, the Viraku tribe lived there, hunting and farming. The men and women obeyed their chief, while the tribe’s internal affairs were mainly handled by the shaman, whose word carried the second-highest authority.

One day, the chief returned from a hunt. Just as he entered his home, the shaman rushed in, announcing that the Viraku tribe had come under the protection of the spirit Mini. This was fantastic news!

Protector and Patron

The chief ordered the construction of an altar, and the shaman performed a ritual to establish a connection. Mini appeared in the form of a tiger and spoke to the tribe, promising protection and aid in exchange for their worship.

As an offering, Mini accepted gold. The most skilled members of the Viraku tribe would melt down the shining metal to craft jewelry. Mini was pleased with these gifts and always supported his followers.

The Dying Huntress

One day, the chief’s daughter was bitten by a snake while hunting in the jungle. She collapsed, and though the shaman tried to heal her, the venom was too strong.

The chief could not bear to watch his beloved daughter suffer. He pleaded with Mini to save her from the grave she was already half a step into.

She Was Resurrected!

The patron god agreed—but demanded a blood sacrifice. Without hesitation, the chief ordered the execution of one of the tribe’s criminals, who had been imprisoned for breaking tribal law.

Mini absorbed the energy of the sacrifice and miraculously revived the dying girl, bringing her back from the dead. The whole tribe rejoiced—except for the shaman. He smiled and celebrated with the others, but deep down, he knew this would not end well…

Time to End the Bloodshed

From that moment on, Mini changed. The once-benevolent god now frequently demanded the blood of animals—or even people—sometimes insisting on ritualistic killings. When the tribe eventually ran out of criminals to sacrifice, the chief grew uneasy. Mini still demanded offerings, but there was no one left to give.

Seeking guidance, the chief turned to the shaman. The second-most powerful man in the tribe looked around to ensure no unwanted ears were listening before making a bold suggestion—Mini had to be eliminated. He had always opposed blood sacrifices and warned the chief that things would only get worse…

Another Kind God

Together, the chief and the shaman built an altar for the god Tuki. They called upon him, begging for salvation from Mini, who had become a malevolent spirit.

Tuki agreed to help in exchange for a sacrifice. But unlike Mini, he required no blood—fresh fruits and vegetables were enough to satisfy him.

Evil Belongs at the Bottom of a Volcano

Sensing a rival, Mini decided to eliminate Tuki. The now-malevolent patron of the Viraku tribe arrived at the new sanctuary, and an epic battle began!

Tuki, proving to be the stronger of the two, stripped Mini of his power. He cast him into a dormant volcano, located just a half-hour’s journey from the Viraku settlement.

The Price of Peace

Though weakened, Mini was still strong enough to awaken the volcano from its slumber. For the first time in years, an eruption occurred, destroying half of the Viraku tribe’s crops.

Tuki advised the chief on how to pacify Mini’s rage—by tossing a single gold coin into the volcano’s crater. From that moment on, the vengeful spirit no longer rebelled, for he regularly received the one thing he loved more than human blood—gold.

Mountains of Gold at the Bottom of the Volcano

Over the years, so much gold has accumulated in that volcano that it’s enough to drive anyone mad with greed! If a brave soul dares to descend into Mini’s prison, they could become unimaginably wealthy.

Perhaps that person is you. Try your luck now, and may fortune smile upon you! But be careful—don’t listen to the cursed spirit, who will do anything to escape…
