Stop dreaming, it’s time to act! John spent his whole life watching cricket, but only recently started playing—see what he managed to achieve…
The Cricket Fan
John loved cricket almost as much as he loved his wife, and he loved her very much. All his time, aside from work, household chores, and other important matters, John dedicated to this truly English game, which is cherished in Britain even more than football. However, football has taken root much better in other countries than cricket, which is mainly played in England and a few other places, albeit to a lesser extent.
John knew all the teams that meant anything at all. He often recognized players at first glance, spotting their familiar playing style. Of course, it wasn’t easy! This wasn’t boxing or wrestling—you had to know the tiniest nuances to understand who ruled the field… though fans wouldn’t get it.
The Lucky Prize
One day, John won an invitation to a training session. A new club was running a promotion, giving lucky winners a chance to feel like real athletes.
John bought that bottle of beer, opened the cap, and—lo and behold—there was a prize! And what a prize it was—it seemed like God himself had decided to push the guy toward decisive action…
An Amazing Game
The training session went brilliantly. For the first time, John participated in the game instead of watching it on TV or from the stands. He became a real athlete, and he was doing quite well!
Almost everyone who took to the field that day became regulars at the club. Of course, John was among them. The guy decided to continue training with other newcomers, wondering why he hadn’t thought of transitioning from a spectator to a player earlier.
Time to Assemble a Team…
The cricket enthusiast was making progress. He was developing as a player at an incredible pace! Soon, John decided to create his own team. Of course, not for professional sports, but just to play as amateurs.
Besides the captain, the team needed four more members. The first was Chuck—an old friend of John’s who was unemployed and had tons of free time.
Now Everyone’s Here!
Next was Bill—having gained weight from sitting in an office chair five days a week, he was looking for a way to add more movement to his life. The guy turned out to be quite active and soon lost weight thanks to intense training, despite the wishes of his envious friends who no longer took him to fast-food joints.
Then Mike and Travis joined John. The guys had some experience playing cricket and wanted to improve in a team of like-minded individuals. The captain accepted the newcomers after the first match, without asking too many questions.
The First Serious Victory
Regular training paid off: the amateur team won a cricket tournament. Of course, they were playing against newcomers of roughly the same level, but that didn’t diminish the significance of the victory.
After that tournament, the team was noticed. For the first time, John received an offer from a professional club! Of course, it wasn’t from the top league, but still, a chance to take the field as professionals couldn’t be missed! And no one planned to—the other guys happily agreed to test their skills.
The Start of a Professional Career
John’s team’s first match is today. In fact, the game is about to start—all you have to do is press the button and dive into the world of professional cricket! Besides, it’s a great opportunity to earn some good money or even hit the jackpot if you’re lucky…
