An Endless Cycle of Misfortune and Despair

Scott yearned for wealth, a luxurious home, companionship, and the simple pleasures of life. Unfortunately, fate had other plans for him, providing only a cramped apartment, a dismal job, and a salary that could scare misbehaving children into better grades.

Scott was unable to attend college, train to become a banker, and fulfill his dreams. His grades were merely above average, and there were no funds available for his education. No rich grandparents or parents to bequeath an inheritance ever graced his life.

Magical Tricks

In essence, Scott was trapped in a vicious cycle. He was uncertain how to escape the depths of poverty. The only glimmer of hope for a better future was the allure of black magic.

From time to time, he engaged in various minor rituals that did not require initiation. Occasionally, they yielded results, but who could say if it was mere coincidence? Regardless, Scott sought a master willing to pass on his knowledge to a disciple. Yet, finding such a person in the modern city proved quite challenging.

A Teacher in Search of a Student

Fortune smiled upon Scott at last! He discovered an online advertisement posted by a mage who was willing to take on an apprentice, demanding only obedience and a desire to learn the ways of dark forces.

Scott contacted the occultist and agreed to meet with him. The black mage’s residence was far outside the city, but this was no obstacle for someone who aspired to wealth through Lucifer’s guidance. Furthermore, the mentor promised the apprentice full board…

The meeting was a success— the occultist consented to take Scott under his wing. Thus, the novice magician relocated and embarked on an entirely new life.

The True Black Mage

Scott’s teacher possessed arcane knowledge bordering on the fantastic; summoning a minor imp from hell was child’s play for him! These imps brought treasures of gold, gemstones, and ancient tomes.

Occasionally, demons visited the occultist, imparting magical knowledge. At first, Scott trembled at the sight of these sinister beings, but over time, he overcame his fear. In fact, curiosity about the guests from the abyss began to take root in him…

The Pain of Humiliation

One fateful night, Scott resolved to summon the spirit of death while his master slumbered. He sneaked into the laboratory, performed the summoning ritual, and before him appeared a sinister entity in all its malign glory. His mentor, sensing something amiss in his sleep, burst into the laboratory just as the spirit of death was persuading Scott to provide it with a magical crystal containing the souls of the damned.

The occultist banished the spirit back to another dimension and delivered such a beating to Scott that he howled in agony! The mentor explicitly forbade him from summoning anyone without permission.

The following night, Scott murdered his teacher while he slept. With the death of the black mage, the wounded pride of his pupil was somewhat assuaged. Now, he could summon whomever he pleased without fear of interruption.

Mentors from Hell

Initially, Scott began by conjuring lesser imps. As he mastered the basics, he later summoned the spirit of death and a demon from the lower realms. These entities imparted invaluable knowledge, transforming him into a true black mage. They also bestowed upon him such riches that Scott finally became a genuine wealthy man.

However, he soon found himself troubled by a newfound concern: the spirit of death and the demon no longer departed. They literally dwelled in the human realm. Occasionally, Scott’s new teachers would open a portal to the underworld, raining down magical artifacts.
