They say that in the house owned by the strange guy Stanfi, you can make a good profit—it’s a real paradise for a thief! But for some reason, everyone avoids this place like the plague…

The Strange Family

No fool would go into Stanfi’s house! Everyone with a brain steers clear of this place, except maybe outsiders who don’t understand why the locals look at the old two-story house as if it’s the abode of evil, where the devil himself resides.

Many years ago, a reclusive man lived here with his daughter. Sometimes guests would come over, and black magic would begin in the backyard! Dressed in robes, the strange group would chant spells, perform rituals, and do who knows what else. From a legal standpoint, everything was clean, so the local cops couldn’t do anything about the odd gathering.

Everyone Disappeared, Even the Thieves…

One day, old man Stanfi disappeared. At least, that’s what everyone thought, since no one had seen him for several years, and his daughter vanished too. The last time she was seen, she was with a strange long-haired blond guy who lived with her and occasionally appeared in the yard with his lover. Then the entire Stanfi family seemed to vanish into thin air, perhaps straight into hell.

The house, which seemed empty, was a tempting target for thieves. Many tried to rob it, but none returned. That is, all the thieves disappeared without a trace.

They Returned

Of course, there were hotheads who broke into Stanfi’s house in broad daylight, hoping that if any devilry existed there, it wouldn’t dare show its face at noon when the sun was shining. Yeah, right, good luck with that!

Looking through the windows of Stanfi’s house, you’d see ordinary rooms covered in dust, as if no one had lived there for many years. But it’s better not to go inside, even during the day, because the brave souls who counted on the power of the sun also disappeared. Once, three guys went in together and were nearly killed by a huge piece of plaster falling from the ceiling.

The guys got a good knock on the head—since then, they’ve never felt the urge to get closer to Stanfi’s house. Clearly, the mansion, or whatever dwells within it, isn’t interested in making friends.

Patrick, Who Wanted to Earn Money for a Drink

Not only those three managed to escape the sinister house—there was also a local drunk named Patrick, who was broke. That’s why the boozer decided to help himself to something in the empty mansion. Patrick broke in at night, ignoring all the rumors and the bad reputation of the place.

After stuffing three golden candlesticks into his bag, the newly minted thief was already thrilled with his haul. The house really did seem uninhabited, so the desperate Patrick decided to look around. While rummaging through the mansion, he stumbled upon a basement from which faint sounds were coming.

The Abode of Evil

Patrick opened the hatch and descended the dark stairs. The deeper he went into the darkness, the more he had to pinch his nose from the unbearable stench. Only rotting corpses or the devil himself, crawling out of the underworld, could smell that bad.

Patrick was surprised—he’d never seen a basement with multiple floors! Meanwhile, the voices became clearer. Descending to the lowest level, Patrick cautiously peeked around the corner and was stunned: he saw an altar where old man Stanfi, his daughter, her boyfriend, and other occultists were standing. Nearby, a portal burned, and through it, red demonic eyes peered into our world. The entire room seemed to be overgrown with rotting flesh, decomposing bodies, and protruding skeletons…

What Happens to Those Who See the Darkness

The demon noticed Patrick. It let out a deep, guttural roar, and its acolytes turned around, spotting the unfortunate drunk who was fleeing the basement as fast as he could! As he ran out of the house, he saw the shadow of Stanfi, who whispered some curse after him.

No one believed Patrick—who would listen to a drunken fool who’d seen some nonsense? The next day, the poor guy jumped off a bridge and drowned. Well, in any case, there’s definitely gold in Stanfi’s house, and it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re not afraid of the real darkness that dwells there. As they say, go for it!
