The Wizard with a Passion for Artifacts

A mage named Lortak was consumed by a desire for power and immortality! He dedicated his days to research, neglecting his family and children, who mourned the rare moments they could spend with their father. Lortak’s wife felt like a widow, burdened with the memories of her beloved.

As a true sorcerer, he knew there were no better sources of power than artifacts. Therefore, Lortak tirelessly excavated the land throughout the kingdom, desperately seeking relics. He spared no expense, hiring treasure hunters, travelers, and even knights to reclaim magical items from monsters or individuals reluctant to part with them.

The Brave Warrior in Service to His Father

When the All-Seeing Eye was presented to Lortak, he could finally see the location of powerful artifacts belonging to the dragon named Valmur. This sinister creature was renowned for its immense magical strength and hatred for all living beings. Of course, Lortak had no intention of waging war against humanity, but he longed to possess Valmur’s power, thus dedicating all his efforts to searching for the relics associated with the malevolent dragon.

For the Sacred Claw, Lortak sent his own son, who had become a valiant warrior. The young knight discovered the lair of bandits in possession of the magical artifact and defeated them all with his gleaming sword. Lortak’s son seized the Sacred Claw and brought it back to his father’s castle. The wizard was ecstatic with joy!

Extracting Magic

Lortak harnessed the power of the Sacred Claw, and from that moment, his spells became exponentially stronger. It was as if his magic was not wrought by human hands, but truly the work of a dragon!

For the Crown of Power, Lortak journeyed to a neighboring land. He purchased the formidable artifact from a collector for an outrageous sum and brought it home. The strength derived from the Crown of Power augmented the wizard’s abilities even further.

Magical Transformation

The All-Seeing Eye revealed two more artifacts to Lortak: a dragon’s egg and a stone of magic, encased in a golden setting crafted by a skilled jeweler. The mage acquired both, expending a significant portion of his wealth. Nevertheless, the dungeons of his tower remained filled with gold and precious gems.

Having secured all the artifacts shown by the All-Seeing Eye, Lortak extracted their power, feeling like a genuine dragon capable of annihilating an entire army! With each passing day, the wizard, master of the artifacts, underwent a transformation, both inwardly and outwardly, evolving into a completely different being.

A Visit to the Dragon Who Consumes Men…

Lortak ceased to consume human food. Instead, he preferred to feast on human flesh, much like a monster from a terrifying fairy tale that preys on people. As the wizard began to devour his wayward servants, everyone fled the tower, save for his closest family. In vain, Lortak’s wife, son, and daughter remained with him, for the unfortunate relatives ultimately shared the same fate…

Eventually, the mage fully transformed into a massive dragon. Now, he resides in his tower utterly alone and would welcome the company of an intriguing guest. Perhaps Lortak might even reward them with treasures… but who knows if the dragon might simply wish to devour his esteemed visitor?
