The Story Behind

If one believes too much in oneself, the gods will be displeased. It is wise not to test their patience…

Paradise in Egypt

Many years ago, Egypt was ruled by a pharaoh named Kiratis, who went down in history as a wise and just sovereign. While he sat on the throne, the country flourished. Kiratis resolved disputes with neighboring lands, causing his subjects to forget what war was.

Farmers thrived, craftsmen provided the people with all the necessities of life, and anything else could be acquired from traders. For the first time in Egypt’s history, a period had arrived when all social classes lived in abundance. Moreover, medicine had reached unprecedented heights, allowing every individual to enjoy a significantly prolonged, fulfilling life. Egypt transformed into a paradise…

The Gods are Unneeded

Meanwhile, the people completely forgot about the gods. As they possessed everything they desired, they ceased to call upon the divine forces. Egyptians no longer performed rituals, celebrated festivals, or offered sacrifices to the gods.

Kiratis was well aware of the atheism that had infiltrated every corner of the great nation. He himself did not particularly believe in gods he had never seen. One day, the pharaoh secretly sent messengers throughout the land to find individuals personally acquainted with Horus, Anubis, and other offspring of Amon-Ra. Alas, not a single person could be found in all of Egypt who had ever seen a god.

An Unexpected Guest

Since then, Kiratis stopped worrying about the spiritual realm and focused solely on practical matters. It must be said that his long tenure on the throne brought tangible benefits to the country. The Egyptians all dreamed that their ruler might live as long as possible.

One day, the pharaoh awoke in his chambers with a firm resolve to spend the entire day on state affairs. To his astonishment, he saw a tall figure with the head of a dog beside his bed!

The Wrath of Great Ra

The ruler of Egypt sprang up and opened his mouth to call for the guards, but the cry caught in his throat. Kiratis understood – before him stood Anubis himself! The god presented the pharaoh with a papyrus containing a message from Ra to his viceroy, who had forgotten about the gods.

The sun god promised to reduce Egypt to dust, unleash diseases, plagues, famine, drought, and drench the entire country in showers of fiery sulfur. Ra was furious at the flourishing atheism permitted by Kiratis!

A Final Warning

Anubis conveyed in no uncertain terms that it would be wise for the pharaoh to rectify his subjects as soon as possible and for himself to change his worldview. He also informed him of how generously Amon-Ra rewards those who serve him.

Immediately after Anubis’s disappearance, the pharaoh hurried to the throne hall. He commanded the search for individuals who had once been priests and convened a council. The servants of the gods knew how to lead the people back to the righteous path…

The Mercy of the Gods

Soon, Egypt once again remembered the powerful beings who had given rise to the cradle of civilization. From the most noble nobles to the poorest citizens, everyone returned to worshiping the gods. People organized celebrations, made sacrifices, and performed rituals pleasing to Ra and his children.

The great sun god appreciated Kiratis’s efforts. He forgave the Egyptians and bestowed upon their ruler a magnificent gemstone. It was a truly gigantic diamond, which entered history as the “King of Egypt.” Now, renowned archaeologist John Timmers intends to find this magnificent treasure! And you can join him on this adventure right now!
