Flowers Plot

Flowers Plot

Living flowers are such a delight! Moreover, one can earn a fortune from them—the garden’s owner will generously reward anyone who tends to them!

But where are the flowers?!

The wizard Mimicus practiced his magic often, and when the enchantment grew tiresome, he would retreat to his beloved garden, which he cared for like a doting mother. It was a veritable paradise, featuring fruit trees, lush shrubs, and vibrant flower beds—all blooming and fragrant, bringing immense joy to their caretaker.

Suddenly, Mimicus pondered, trying to discern what was amiss in his magnificent garden. Then it struck him—there were no flowers anywhere! The gardening wizard rushed to rectify this unfortunate oversight. He dashed to the market and purchased the finest saplings available.

The Magic of Gardening

Upon returning, Mimicus set to work, arming himself with his garden tools and laboring diligently. He then filled a watering can with pure water and watered the saplings, hoping this would encourage them to grow more swiftly.

Mimicus yearned to see the flower beds in full bloom as soon as possible. Typically, he refrained from employing magic in his gardening, viewing it as akin to cheating; however, this time, he felt tempted to break his own rule. Otherwise, the wait for the flowers to sprout, grow, and blossom could drag on indefinitely!

The wizard hurried to his basement—his laboratory awaited. Unfortunately, he had no potions for gardening, so he resorted to practicing magic and alchemy instead. Whipping up a magical concoction in haste, he returned to the garden. After watering the saplings, he stood by, awaiting a miracle…

Magical Fertilizer

Within mere minutes, the flowers had grown and bloomed—almost all except one, which seemed to be particularly slow to awaken. Then Mimicus was taken aback by the sound of disgruntled grumbling! It was a rose that was vehemently unhappy with the soil mixture in which it found itself growing… the other flowers had similarly sprung to life.

An Unfortunate Miscalculation

From then on, the garden was filled with noise and merriment. It seemed silence had permanently departed from this place—or at least until the flowers wilted.

It turned out that Mimicus had miscalculated, adding too much mandrake root powder! The wizard once again regretted not paying sufficient attention to alchemy during his studies at the Magic Academy.

The Grumbler and the Grouch

The flowers exhibited distinct personalities! The rose incessantly grumbled and complained—it seemed that no amount of care would ever satisfy her, even if she were transplanted to a shaded area and provided with the finest fertilizer. The green flower, which had yet to bloom, continually growled at everyone and demanded that his neighbors be moved as far away from him as possible.

The sunflowers grew in a cheerful group. These lively characters smiled at everyone they encountered. They attempted to cheer up the discontented rose and even managed to reach an understanding with the green neighbor, who ceased his sullen grumbling but still cast wary glances at anyone daring enough to grow nearby.

Bluebells and Lotuses

The bluebells remained indifferent to everything. They spent their days in boredom, yawning and hoping to see something interesting before autumn arrived. Otherwise, the golden days would come, marking the time to turn into compost, and then they would realize with regret that nothing at all had happened in their lives.

The lotuses were timid but gained courage as they grew accustomed to their neighbors. They quickly formed friendships with everyone, except the green flower. The perpetually dissatisfied rose, chatting with them, found herself grumbling and complaining less than usual.

Help the Wizard!

By the way, Mimicus needs an assistant! The wizard physically cannot devote the necessary time to the talking flowers. If you are willing to care for them, he will generously reward you!
