The Story Behind
There is nothing quite like traveling! Winikus has countless fascinating stories to share—enough to last a lifetime, as he has ventured everywhere and even found himself in the sky…
The Great Traveler
Winikus was one of the most renowned explorers in the kingdom of Silandria. He traversed the entire country, visiting every village, settlement, and town. Winikus delved into forgotten ruins, explored caves, ancient temples, and anything else he could find. This curious traveler stuck his nose into all sorts of places, always with the best intentions.
He meticulously documented all his discoveries in reports, which he submitted to the Royal Cartographic Service. For his diligent work, the traveler was often rewarded with state honors and, of course, gold.
And Now – Below the Ground!
One fine day, Winikus realized that there was not a single inch of land in Silandria that his foot had not touched. He contemplated giving up his beloved hobby, but a voice in his head urged him to explore the underground world. Winikus began to investigate caves, which opened up new horizons for him—he discovered entire cities beneath Silandria, built by dwarves and other, less-developed races, such as goblins and trolls.
The tireless traveler rejoiced! He thanked fate for the chance to start anew. The Royal Cartographic Service welcomed his new reports, and the white-haired elders marveled at how Winikus had the audacity to venture so deeply into the underworld.
The Wizard in Desperate Straits
The traveler often had to battle various creatures dwelling in the depths. Over the years of his adventures, he had learned to wield a sword like a true warrior. Winikus decided to write a book about his exploits when there was little left to explore. Alas, the underground world, too, was not infinite.
Winikus was on his way home, having completed his latest journey. Along the way, he encountered a gray-haired wizard who was being assaulted by three bandits. The old man fought back with his staff and unleashed bursts of magical energy, but what could he do against the strong ruffians swinging clubs? Winikus helped the wizard fend off the bandits, as he was skilled in combat like a master swordsman.
People Can Fly
The wizard expressed his gratitude to his savior by gifting him a levitation elixir. He cautioned Winikus not to drink too much from the vial—a single drop would suffice to grant him the ability to fly. The prospect of exploring the skies, even if only briefly, seemed to the traveler to be a worthy conclusion to his career, if not the best.
Winikus took a small sip, hoping that wings would sprout from his back at once. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Nevertheless, an unseen force lifted the brave traveler into the air—now Winikus was walking toward the heavens as though on an invisible staircase.
A Pass into the Land Above the Clouds
There, at the very top, where even birds do not fly, the eager explorer nearly collided with a storm cloud that could incinerate him in an instant. Just beyond it lay the land above the clouds. The clouds suddenly became as solid as the ground—apparently, that was why an entire city of aerial castles could stand on them.
But suddenly, a guardian emerged before Winikus, forbidding him to proceed any further until he had won a challenge. Instantly, drums, fruits, crystals, and other items appeared in the air, meant to form combinations. Unfortunately, nothing seemed to work for Winikus! Perhaps luck will smile upon you—try your fortune!
