Inheritance from the Deceased Uncle

Mark lived a normal life until his uncle passed away. The now-deceased relative had no children—neither good ones to be proud of, nor bad ones whose existence only brings regret, nor even illegitimate ones. Absolutely none. All of the wealthy uncle’s possessions were passed on to Mark—thus, he became rich overnight.

Insane sums flowed into our hero’s accounts, capable of radically changing any life. We won’t name them, of course, lest some respectable gentlemen die of envy, turning green from head to toe.

Around-the-World Tour

First, Mark traveled the world. He bought a massive ship—not some yacht, but a three-deck cruise liner, turning any voyage into pure pleasure. Mark visited dozens of countries, experienced various cultures, and gained so many new impressions that one could truly go insane!

Space Tourism

Then the newly minted millionaire expressed a desire to venture into space. He had to prepare thoroughly and take a special course designed for astronauts. Fortunately, Mark’s health was excellent, so he only needed to adapt to life in weightlessness.

Shortly after completing the course, he flew to space with a research crew. While the astronauts were undocking the modules at the station, Mark gazed through the portholes, admiring the Earth and other planets. The space journey left him with truly indelible impressions.

King of the Natives

Upon returning to Earth, Mark purchased an island, populated the acquired territory with actual natives, and proclaimed himself king. The state, of course, turned out to be quite large—akin to the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire or Vatican City—but he was the sole ruler of this land. Mark didn’t indulge in power, at least not for long, and left deputies chosen from among the locals instead, while he continued to spend his uncle’s millions.

Childhood Dream

Many years ago, our millionaire tried his hand at football, but he was only accepted into an amateur team, and nothing came of it. As the coach put it, the boy lacked talent, although Mark himself had no idea what abilities he was talking about.

After all, it wasn’t about painting, dancing, or playing the violin—everyone can run and kick a ball! Perhaps the coach just wanted to squeeze money out of Mark’s parents—well, in that case, nobody understood the translucent hint…

Owner of a Football Team

Now the millionaire has his own football team! Mark bought a struggling club, which, however, had certain potential, and hired the best coach.

Within a year, the professional managed to significantly improve the players’ skills—when the guys stepped onto the field, they were practically unrecognizable! Mark even considered doping, but then abandoned the idea, which could have turned the game into a dishonorable struggle for prizes.

And so the rising football club participated in the National Championship. However, at the most critical moment, the striker got a stomach cramp and couldn’t take the field.
