An illustrious inventor, who thrived during the dark Middle Ages, made a name for himself – Leonard da Vinci, the smaller version, lived in Poland and was known far beyond his homeland. The great genius was born in 1523. His education took place at the Polish Academy of Engaging Mechanics, which opened the doors to the world of science for him. Even before entering university, young Leonard knew how he would dedicate his life.

Oh, Those Women…

The great scholar is credited with dozens of inventions that were ahead of their time. He created flying machines, engines, steam installations, and prototypes of various industrial devices for which society was only ready in the post-industrial era, among many other creations. One could write volumes about the inventions of Mr. da Vinci…

There is an amusing anecdote from the biography of this genius mechanic: one day, Leonard wagered with a friend that the value of any woman could be expressed in monetary terms. The scholar’s friend, a confirmed romantic, vehemently denied such a possibility. Mr. da Vinci – a mechanic, mathematician, and realist – held an entirely opposite view.

What Are Women Worth?

The scholar delved into dozens of textbooks on divine metaphysics and applied his acquired knowledge in mechanics: he succeeded in creating a device that synchronized with bioenergy fields to determine the worth of a woman with all her attributes. This clever device evaluated everything, including intelligence, honor, and conscience, if such qualities were present in the individual pressing the button.

However, one of them had to be hanged afterward: upon discovering the incredibly low value of a high-ranking subject, King Zhiszka XII ordered an investigation – he managed to uncover a grand conspiracy and eliminate the criminals just in time.
