The deal of the century

Mr. Thornton is a famous millionaire known for collecting various artifacts from around the world. One day, the owner of the crown that belonged to His Majesty Louis XXXII put this unique relic up for sale. Naturally, Mr. Thornton decided to seize the opportunity and enrich his collection with yet another intriguing exhibit.

He arranged a meeting, arrived at the seller’s residence on his yacht, and struck the deal. It seemed all that remained was to transport the crown of Louis XXXII to his museum…

The cursed storm

Meanwhile, dark clouds gathered, the sun vanished behind the ominous sky, and the wind picked up – the weather didn’t bode well! Soon, a storm broke out, strong enough that it seemed like the sea god wanted to turn over all the ships caught in the same waters as Mr. Thornton’s yacht.

The boat began to rock, and the newly minted owner of the crown accidentally dropped the artifact directly into the water! Fortunately, he managed to save himself by grabbing onto a rope. Nevertheless, it was a disaster.

All to the depths!

Upon returning home, the millionaire hired the best divers and organized an expedition. It was essential to retrieve the artifact he had accidentally dropped, and quickly, before some eager divers stumbled upon it. If that happened, all would be lost – the crown and the millions of dollars spent on its purchase would be forgotten.

When you have a bottomless pit of money in your accounts, finding professionals is not a problem. The best divers were ready to depart at the earliest opportunity and retrieve the crown from anywhere – even if it meant wrestling it from the clutches of the devil of the sea!

A simple working plan

The team of divers consisted of five individuals. Being true professionals, they developed an action plan even before arriving at the site. Essentially, there was nothing to think about: dive in, search every section, and then surface with the crown to return it to its rightful owner.

Of course, Mr. Thornton also went to the site, wishing to be in the thick of the action. Additionally, he wanted to reclaim the lost item that nature had deceitfully taken from him.

Damn Fish

The divers plunged into the water while Mr. Thornton stood on the deck, eagerly rubbing his hands together. The team quickly located the crown, as it was quite heavy and sank immediately. However, none of the divers expected to encounter a gigantic shark.

The toothy predator guarded the artifact, not allowing anyone within ten meters. As soon as one diver crossed the boundary, the enormous fish bit him in half! Having lost a comrade, the others decided not to tempt fate – it was better to return to the boss empty-handed than in pieces.

A Bit of Caution, and the Millions are Yours

Naturally, Mr. Thornton was not pleased, as he anticipated a legendary crown but instead received only excuses and a tale of a monstrous shark. The millionaire offered to pay more, but the divers refused to go underwater while that toothy creature, the size of a skiff, was lurking around.
